Residency

Artist in Residence at GHOSTLIGHT Residency

July 21-27, 2025 - Performance on July 27

A new question emerged: What do we carry when we move?

This question opened something I hadn't seen before. I had been focusing on the chapters themselves—Head, Arms, Feet—but now I became curious about the spaces between them. What lives in the gap between identity and belonging? Between belonging and time? These gaps are not empty spaces. They are where the most difficult truths live the things we carry without naming, the losses we hold without acknowledging, the parts of ourselves that don't fit into clear categories.

We carry the weight of translation, the exhaustion of always explaining ourselves, the grief of what we left behind mixed with the hope of what we're moving toward. We carry contradictions that don't resolve. We carry the feeling of being neither here nor there, of belonging nowhere completely and everywhere partially.
